Slip a short piece over axels to preven loss of wheels if collor loosens.
When mounting plastic cowls, drill the screw hole large enough to accept a short piece of fuel tubing. Glue the piece in the hole with enough sticking out to insulate the cowling from vibration when the mounting screws are screwed into the fuel tubbing line holes. This prevents cracking of the cowling.
Put pieces on control rods to slip over and lock attachments to control horns
Slide a piece through the fuselage to run the antenna through to avoid abrasion of the wire insulation
Cut pieces to go on the threads of screws sticking out of the tightened nuts to avoid them from loosening and coming off.
If you have a cowling and need to prime your engine sometimes to get it to start, you can use a piece of fuel tubing stuck through a small drilled hole in the cowling as an extension for priming the carburator.
If you have turnbuckles on bracing wired, you can slip fuel tubing over them after they are adjusted to keep them from backing off.
Cut very small pieces of fuel tubing to slip over your fuel tubing connections to engine, tank etc. to act like a hose clamp to prevent the fuel tubing from slipping off easily.
